I think the race is now on between Big Liz and Gerry Ford as to which one is accepted into service first! Liz puts to sea for trials in March and the biggest ever Ford is supposed to get to sea in April. Game On!

During the War the Carrier was never used. There was an attempt to launch Skyhawks for strikes on the British fleet on May 1, but light wind meant that the fighters could not launch with there full loads.
Then after the Belgrano, She stayed in port for the War her Air wing launching from air bases a year later she trialed again for heavier fighters but her engines were done and so was she. Her fate was Spare parts for the Brazilian NAeL Minas Gerais and then Scrap.
