Clearly a foot in the mouth moment... at least they have been able to sort out heir problems without help. Don't know where the F-35 ended his course. Maybe something to grab to study.While mishaps happen and accidents are common for fighter aircraft, especially single engine ones, the timing is very bad. The goal here is intimidation and any accident or mishap will have the opposite effect. Imagine if a Chinese plane crashed during the ADIZ incursion.

Sure it would be returned to US...So curious, if "Chinese fishermen" somehow recovers it, does it need to return it to the US?
Would the US CVG basically be loitering in the area until salvaging ships arrive/give up to prevent PLAN recovery operations?
