I would like to think that the next series is going to have this weaponry with subsystems to be tested on the last two F22P frigates but also then possibly refit the current F22P frigates too because a 8 loaded FM-90 system is really no air defence it's more point defence

Small correction, they are 053H3 (not H2). There are 10 active frigates of this class. They are not the best Frigate out there, but quite respectable

May not come as a suprise since UN has approved Pakistans extension of sea limits from 200 miles to 350miles now there is a lot more ocean to patrol
It says naval Cheif discussed the matter with finance minister for 4 x F22P frigates and the deal may well be done
Let's hope 2015 is the year 8 x SSK and 4 x FFG are procured

Wouldn't read too much in the detail it's Pakistani media ! it will be most likely be a follow on frigate like F23P with improvement

Its in 35k - 38k tonnage league (a scale down version of 054A) & numbers being increased from 4 to 6.
Further there are talks for to acquire 4 old FFGs (053H2G) on lease.
