oh course you would have, but what you may not realize is that those old Bears have a fully updated avionics and weapons suite, and can carry multiple updated cruise missiles, which are very dangerous to the continental United States, and now the Soviets weapon of choice for those updated Bears, feel free to post a link...
I get your point, I would have NEVER worn those damned Raptor's out the way we have, they should have been on a long range tactical reserve, limiting flight hours to actual necessary mission sets, the Raptor also has a much more rapid intercept time than anything else on the planet when we take its awesome supercruise into acct....
The F-22 is going to be pulled back, and the long but worthwhile process of "SLEPing" those birds will begin,,, the 80% readiness rate is an outstanding idea, it will take time and lots and lots of Greenbacks, but be worth every dime...
In the meantime, I'm expecting to see the F-35 begin to pick up these mission sets, as well it should...
