I don't know what to think of this

" I think that the Chinese workers with their low salaries have done much better and much more to contain inflation than all the Central Banks together"
He doesn't put it in a very respectful way, but it's a fact. Low Chinese labour costs have been used to make China rich and keep products in the west affordable. It was quite a fair trade.

I did find this line amusing

Besides China, the EU's relations with its other important trade partner, the United States, have also changed, he said.

"The transatlantic relationship has been reinvigorated," he said, but there are "deep concerns" about the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act and the advantages it affords to U.S. companies.

Sure if by "reinvigorated" you meansthe americans are balls deep in your ass, deindustrializing you and making you dependent on them.

Then again, I realized the guy is a Latvian politician, so not particularly surprising.

Only way for these people to change is for the entire block to descend into purge style anarchy caused by economies completely collapsing. These people have yet to suffer the consequences so that means there is still ways down to go

As a german, I can only quote this:

"what a wonderful sight to behold."

When Scholz goes to China to beg, I hope China doesn't go with the original CAI. That treaty should be abandoned and renegotiated from the beginning. Europeans should be taught a lesson, especially with all their politicians openly visiting Taiwan.

tbh, xi should just invite him to the forbidden palace, but let scholz wait for like 6 hours, only to grant him a 5 min audience where xi wishes him all the best for this winter

Maybe then scholz finally gets the message.
