Assuming Blinken is not trying to make peace with the Republicans by redirecting hatred towards China- also an act which should come with significant costs- i'm willing to wait and see just what sort of actions the USG is going to do to "hold Beijing accountable".

The next policy actions will determine Blinken's future career once out of office.

In many ways, the pandemic has been a total war mobilization exercise. China has proved the capacity and resilience of its system.

Let's give the US media kudos for tokenism. It's like people who say they love black people but hate Asians or vice versa yet they think they can never be a racist because they can love another race so hating any other race is all right. Maybe because the media said something good for once, China is suppose to surrender to the West which is what it always comes down to. Does anyone think it's all rosy pictures about China from now on? When China fires back at anti-China bashing by the media and countries, they call that Chinese aggression. They don't think what they do as being aggressive because they're all motivated by seeking what's best for the Chinese people so there's nothing negative... All they're doing setting up an up-to-date excuse to hate when China doesn't unconditionally surrender in exchange for their nice articles on China.

These articles are just irrefutable facts, like that the sky is blue and water is wet. This is not indicative of anything by the US, and any attempt to use this to say there is balanced coverage is simply false.

Easier said than done. Competition for what...? Any way it's going to cost the US money. Is it a competition for technology? China is not telling the US not to develop this or that technology. It's the US that wants to control technology and who gets it. China just getting it whether it comes first or after means the US loses because they lost control of that technology.

Seems to me that the best way to understand the pronouncements from the United States government is to keep in mind the teachings from Orwell's 1984.

It kind of started in the Obama administration, where these tactics were used by the US State Department, but it took a four year hiatus under the chosen one President Trump, now with the Democrats back in power the teachings of 1984 is back in vogue.

All their plays will be called from 1984 that is the playbook.
