CV-18 Fujian/003 CATOBAR carrier thread

Feel like they could be safeshot lines, similar to what we have here at home on our Gerald Ford/Nimitz carriers. Our safeshot lines extend past the JBDs though, slightly.
Yes, exactly, as I wrote: they run parallel to the catapult opposite, because they mark the safe distance to it. But not in the Chinese simulator. Whoever drew the lines there doesn't know what they are for.

I saw someone (earlier in this thread I believe) say that the simulation was for communicating with planes in the air, so the actual lines and the likes weren't important.

Yeah as I said, I don't know if that's just a mistake on the Chinese part, but who knows. Could also just be lack of detail from the carrier sim itself, again who knows.

Anyone familiar with flying on a carrier deck knows that it is a mistake.
True, HOWEVER, the issue lies now in what the purpose of the simulation was. I can expect some errors related to carrier markings for aerial combat overseas, but landing/takeoff drills would be a different story.

I guess it just doesnt show us anything new really. I saw it too, but kinda just went meh. Its a good problem to have of course, getting frequent new imagery.
