Probably a bit late to ask at this stage, but are both of the portside catapults parallel to each other, while only the starboard cat is at a slanted angle?

If so, that's a nice bit of design symmetry, whereas on the US carriers every cat is slanted.
so as to increase the separation between the proximal ends of adjacent catapults to allow for two of the widest aircraft envisioned to be spotted on then for launch at the same time.

Yeah, never questioned the reasoning behind it since there're 4 cats on the deck vs 3 on the 003.

Though I believe it's quite rare for all 4 cats to be employed at any one time anyway.

the slant of the catapult track on the 003 is clearly intended to allow two aircraft to use the bow catapults at the same time. having both bow catapults in operation at the same time is common.
