Is this really 004?
What? No way. This is clearly the 003. I was talking about the piece encircled in blue, beside the carrier. It has a cut-out that resembles the launching end of a catapult.
The captions in Chinese could be interpreted as declaring this picture to be the property of the poster, only for a so-called "004 Carrier thread/forum" (004型航空母舰吧), somewhere on a Chinese military/defense forum.
There are two pieces and not one. They are together but it is possible to see the separation between them.
