my money is on well before the end of this year. The ship appears very close to being structurally complete.before !
I would say the carrier will launch prior or around the first of October, being a gift for China's National day(holiday).my money is on well before the end of this year. The ship appears very close to being structurally complete.
They could launch it earlier, because the carrier fitting out complex is on the other side of the shipyard.Umm 003 progress is comparable to 002 at around August and 002 was launched in April of the following year.
An unfinished flight deck would be the least of the concerns. I'm assuming, if they haven't already done so, that they're now working to install all the necessary fixtures and heavy machinery both internally and externally such that it's able to be launched in the first place. They could launch it earlier, because the carrier fitting out complex is on the other side of the shipyard.
They could launch it even with the still unfinished flightdeck.
There is no close up photo of the underwater hull, so there is no way to verify. However I suspect the propeller shafts were installed shortly after the thrust blocks for the shafts were all installed, which would means it’s been there for since before the hangar blocks were installed. An unfinished flight deck would be the least of the concerns. It would be rather awkward if the boat floated out without screws or gear shafts to attach them to, for instance.
