Is it possible for an aircraft carrier 90k+ tons but not nuclear powered?

It is absolutely possible for an aircraft carrier or any conceivable size to not be nuclear powered.

in fact, beyond a certai size threshold, the Operational advantage of nuclear power For an aircraft carrier plateaus and begins to diminish.

There is no such thing as a final model though, right? If what you are trying to say is that China may build bigger and/or better Carriers in the future, that is a given.

003 is definitely not a training vessel like the Liaoning.
In Chinese lingo that's called "the target model" and thus all preceding models models are incremental steps towards that target.

Chinese shipbuilding typically don't implement all the new designs and technologies in one new model.

A recent image of the Type 003 aircraft carrier taken on 7. September shows that the barrier between the Type 003 and Type 052DL DDG has been removed.

PS:

I don't know if the barrier has been removed. I suspect the bow sonar fitting on the 052DL is done and that ship may soon be moving out of the dock. Lets see if another destroyer will take its turn there.
