of longer range over water. But now with the proliferation of cheap surface to surface missile, cruise missile it will be crazy to do that. They have to park the AC the limit of the foe's missile range
There are separate threads for J-10 and JF-17, you can discuss over there if you think your interests make sense.More interested in navalized j10c or jf17 in sufficiently large quantity for new carriers.
Arent those land based? There are separate threads for J-10 and JF-17, you can discuss over there if you think your interests make sense.
Navalized J10 range is over 1000 miles so if it venture out 400 miles shouldnt that be sufficient?Single engine fighter is not suitable for naval air wing for the simple fact they have to fly long distance over water. And if anything, happened to the engine you will be gone there is no spare engine that allow you to get back to the AC.
Another thing you need long reach and can carry a lot of missile, etc. Single engine is limited in reach and MTO
So, nobody uses single engine fighter for naval aviation!
what about it? the USN still doesn't operate it because it's shit. They will eventually because of political pressure but that alone says a lot about the f-35.What about US F-35?
