I would like to see DL add to the construction in 2020

another 003 should start there

thats 2 x STOBAR and 2 x CATOBAR

then JNCX starts 1st CVN after 003 and DL follows with second CVN

thats
ski jump 001 = 24 aircraft
ski jump 002= 24 aircraft
flat deck 003 = 36 aircraft
flat deck 004= 36 aircraft
nuclear powered 005= 48 aircraft
nuclear powered 006= 48 aircraft

total aircraft = 216 naval fixed wing fighters

to that 3 x Type 075 LPD + 3 x Type 075A LHD = 6 LHD

8 x LPD
6 x LHD
6 x Carriers

The latest on the carrier mockup in Wuhan... The skip jump has been replaced with a flat ramp.

I am confused now. Does this thing have three or four catapults? I thought the original plan was to have three electromagnetic catapults? There is a huge difference in capacity to launching aircrafts between three and four catapults.

... did you even read the accompanying text I posted in the tweet where I directly make reference to that matter???

A couple of CGIs from 大包00, which seems to depict PLAN surface ships which are in the water + under construction + "confirmed" in the next few years.
003's design at the front is speculative/notional (i.e. catapult no., elevator no. is not known)

I.e.: there's no reason to be confused because the CGI is only notional and not confirmed. The rumours at this stage heavily suggest that 003 will have 3 catapults, but given we have yet to have it confirmed, the artist depicted it with 4 catapults rather than 3.


Edit: I'm sorry for writing it harshly like that, but my tweet literally addressed your exact question because I knew people would be confused as to the depiction of 003 in the picture...
