Are they building two non-nuclear EMALS carriers or will one of them be non-nuclear and the second one be nuclear powered?
Some say both will be nuclear-powered, some say only the second one.
This is a bit of a touchy topic, and it's too early to say with any kind of confidence.
There's no news of the fourth carrier as of yet, only that the type 002 will be conventional CATOBAR (most probably EMALS).
I think that's - as usual for such an early stage of such a major project - the most interesting or exciting part ... to wait for each new information until it can be taken for granted but right now it's too early to tell.

Not sure if this guy is a credible insider, but he's implying that Dalian is also building a Type 003.

Type 002 is already in the water in Dalian and it is a STOBAR carrier.
I know him well, but many people in the forum believe him. This time the news spread quickly and he is an important promoter.
