The J-35 IS wider. The J-15 folds its tails also hence it can look pretty slim head-on when the wings are folded.My thoughts:

It still looks like a mock-up. There is no seat, no HUD visible under that transparent canopy.Is the second J-15 real/non-mockup?
The one at the front has a non-transparent canopy, while the second one has a clear one.
I believe the past close ups of mockups were all non-transparent canopies.
Similarly, the J-35 might have a clear canopy, but it is not a definite shot.

I think PLA took the lesson on J-15. Because the wings are folded too much, most hard points on the wings are inaccessible once the wings are folded. So PLA prefer easier and faster operation to smaller footprintMy thoughts:
