But with less rust, and no standing pools of water below decks from being unmaintained and uncovered for 8-9 years.
I am really curious about whether similarity in layout and outward appearance aside, how closely does this ship really follow varyag in detailed design.

The second picture reveals, that the underwater hull is already covered with an antifouling and scaffolding is removed. But the upper hull is still in reddish primer. Are they going to put the 17 into water without finishing the coating? That would be a different procedure than with Liaoning.
