Les photos prises par les journalistes d'une presse à Hong Kong montrent que des échafaudages sont de nouveaux montés sur le deuxième porte-avions chinois, remise sur cale après sa première sortie à la mer, et ce surtout autour de son îlot.

The photos taken by journalists of a press in Hong Kong show that scaffolding is new mounted on the second Chinese aircraft carrier, remitted to Cale after its first exit to the sea, especially around its islet.

Noticed that gargantuan cargo ship on the top of the pic? That's gotta be at least a 300-400k ton behemoth when loaded!

Check this out. Not the same ship but similar. There are only 22 shipmates aboard this gigantic ship;

Has anyone seen any interior pictures of CV-17? I've been looking and looking but have found zero. If any member has a source to such photos please post.

Noticed the magazine used the pennant number 17. Do the editors of this magazine have inside knowledge or we're they guessing?

Magazine scan via LKj86. So total is 16 J15 that they can park on the deck with runway clear to land

Looking good, with 4 squadrons of J-15s. The PLAN can have a very capable naval aviation capability in the region. A lot of diss have been heaped on the fact that both carriers are still using ski jump ramps which limits the J-15's payload and fuel range, but looking at it clearly it is not that much of a handicap as one might think.
Taking the often quoted figure that a J-15 can only take off with a 2 ton payload at max fuel, 2 tons translates into a surprisingly reasonable amount of air to air munitions. A J-15 could take off quite comfortably with 4-6 PL-12s (each weighing less then 200 kgs each) and 2-4 PL-10s ( less then 100kg each) with a full tank.
On a strictly one-on-one face off against contemporary fighters, a J-15 based on either one of these carrier is not as gimped as one might think. And that is the principle goal of the design of these carriers to begin with : To provide fleet air defense, not strike capability. And with the induction of the J-15D, these carriers can boast a EW capacity of a similar nature to Growler equipped carriers.
