Never said everyone needs to.
However it would be nice if everyone could have a more robust understanding of the importance of rumours and respecting translations of statements from big shrimps with a track record, as well as respecting the process through which new PLA projects typically proceed from rumours -> initial blurry photos -> photo confirmation -> eventually official PLA confirmation.
The fact of the matter is that if we didn't have access to rumours then our grasp of new PLA projects would probably be years behind where we were. Just imagine if we didn't have the rumours for J-XX in the years prior to December 2010/January 2011 when J-20 revealed itself. How barbaric that would have been.
