Thanks that is recovery operation in the last image I see the spot next to island is filled but the aft spot are empty ok I get it I guess they will reposition the jet from the bow to the aft section so it is holding place. Are you saying that the waist is always clear for recovery operation?
My question is in emergency what is the maximum aircraft that can be launched from the deck?
Because I thought I saw 2 jet sitting the back of blast deflector waiting for their turn to launch

After viewing the most recent video I must say the PLAN CV looks very professional in flight deck operations .

At least thirteen with the short runways. May be more. We have to wait for more videos and analyse them.

There may be several scenarios, with both short runways or with the long runway.

At the moment I am quite shure that the port parking positions (left side of the runway) can not be used when aircraft are landing. Same to the very aft starboard parking positions. May be, they can change the two aft parking positions to only one position, if they want to park an aircraft their while landings are in progress.

Talking about training and Russia, are we going to see Russian Naval Aviation come to China and take advantage of the fact they are going to operate 2 carriers very soon. While they have only one carrier, plagued with a lot of issues. It would be a smart move for them to train on the Chinese CV's.
