In 1964 the US Navy performed "Operation Sea Orbit".
I look forward to China producing a nuclear version of the Type 055 (anything is possible). If somebody told you 15 years ago where China would be today you wouldn't have believed them.

This is crazy sh*t. I count in the last two pictures: 24 J-15s + 3 Heli's on the left, and 21 J-15s on the right. Nobody even making a fuss about this, like this is just another day in the life of Liaoning/Shandong?
I think we've seen these pictures before, or pictures like them before, so it's not clear if these are new images and even if they are new images it doesn't depict anything we haven't seen before.
At this stage, static images of that many aircraft on CV-16/17's flight deck is no longer very interesting -- seeing them do active flight operations and deck maneuvers on the flight deck with that sort of airwing would be the next thing to observe
I don't recall seeing pictures with all 24 J-15s on the deck at the same time, or even 21 of them. Doesn't mean I didn't miss them if they were shown. They're rare.
We know that kind of operations happened before and they're capable of. We haven't see any videos that I'm aware of, but Japanese have certainly reported them before, multiple times.
The Chinese carrier program has come a long way. That was the point.
