If that's true that only means that it was a fault of those who used the missiles as they f*ed things as bad as they could, messed up and aimed for an easier target. Casus belli for what? A war between Malaysia/Netherlands and Ukraine? If Russians have evedence they should show it to make matters clear on this one.

So, Su-25 will be Putin's angle on downing of MH-17? Problem with that is US/NATO intelligence sources tracked the missile and could eliminate the Frogfoot as the source of the missile.
It's better to have a commission of technicians acceptable to all parties ( instructed by ICAO ) investigate all aspects of the case. That will certainly be acceptable to Germany and the Dutch prime minister has also agreed. US intelligence cannot be accepted as definitive because US is the sponsor of the Kiev regime, which is one of the suspects.
The first question is which type of missile downed the aircraft. The parts of the missile must be found among the aircraft wreckage. It might be a Buk, in which case we want to know its serial number to try and find the route it took from the factory to the aircraft at 33000 ft. and so find who launched that missile. There is some reason to think it might not be a Buk, in which case it will be a larger missile with a longer range and probably a larger warhead. In that case it certainly were not the separatists who were responsible.
If parts of both types are found we know one or more parties are trying to bamboozle us.
Only if parts of neither missile is found can the Su-25 be relevant.

I don't think that was what he was implying but rather the seperatist was trying to shoot down the SU-25 however the missile locked on to the heavy instead due to the proximity of the two planes and perhaps compounded by poor training of the crew.
