Well, what do you expect them will say? "OMG! We were so wrong! Please forgive us for saying those stupid things! We were so so so stupid!" Realistically, the best that could happen is that everyone, except a few nuts, will stay quiet about the lab/bioweapon nonsense from now on. This is the best I would expect people will do.

I disagree. If they wanted to stay quiet, they wouldn't be publishing these kind of statements. It's pretty clear that they're going to double down on their claims.

They needed to respond in some way. They can't agree and can't completely disagree, as they will be seen as disrespecting the experts. This is their response to get out of directly responding to it. They want to differentiate themselves from Trump who kept saying the nonsense without any evidence. Last year, the US intelligence community and Pentagon have all been saying that the virus has a natural origin. Even the Joint Chiefs of Staff came out and said it himself. So when they say they wanted to evaluate all their intelligence and things, I suspect that things will quietly calm down. Of course, nuts like Epoch Times will continue to spread the nonsense. Soon the bioweapon conspiracy will be laughed at just like the lizard people... At least I hope...

I think you are underestimating the amount of craziness in the Anglosphere right now.

If the Anglosphere can loudly proclaim a genocide in Xinjiang, they can easily keep pushing the lab conspiracy. The vast majority of Americans would not be able to find Wuhan on a labeled map.

Latest data from Israel (between Jan 16 and Feb 06)... They compared two groups to distinguish the potential effects of the vaccines vs. a lockdown currently implemented in Israel.

Group 1: > 60 of age, 90% vaccinated
Group 2: < 60 of age, ~30% vaccinated

New cases: Group 1 dropped by 50%; Group 2 dropped by 20%.
Hospitalization: Group 1 dropped by ~40%; Group 2 increased by 15%.
Severe cases: Group 1 dropped by ~30%; Group 2 increased by ~30%.

Efficacy of the Pfizer vaccine against the UK variant is still 90-95%, same as the other less transmittable strains. No data on the South African variant.

The Pfizer vaccine may also lower the chances of transmission since the viral load on those with vaccines is much lower. that makes them less likely to spread the virus. Still too early to be sure though... but a good sign.

While we can push back on the politicizing of the virus, deep down in my gut I think the real battle lies in disproving scientists' claims that rock solid genetic evidence all points to China as the source of the virus I'm not sure as to whether WHO addressed that question and until they do, that is going to be the basis of the counter to WHO's current announcement.
