Eventually, virus mutations will also escape current viral immunity.

Of all the viruses mankind has encountered, only smallpox --- just one --- is only successfully eradicated.

Remember Swine Flu epidemic of 2009 is actually a descendant of the Spanish Flu virus of 1918.

The danger is it's not that the Indians are more immune to the virus but it's the strain of the virus that's less virulent and causing fewer symptoms. Unfortunately, this could result in the population not coming forward to do testing and allow the virus to spread even wider through the population.

Would this be the calm before the storm when the virus starts to mutate to a more virulent form to a much larger proportion of the population?

That is why testing the whole population of an area like what China is doing is so important if only to find out the extent of the asymptomatic infections.

Another reason why this is a very dangerous assumption is the disproportionate high number of Asian-Americans and African-Americans that have caught and died in the US. Granted they are also disproportionately represented higher with front line heath care workers but still. Among the highest are Filipino nurses.

Whatever natural immunity a local ethnic group has developed over the years, a virus mutation can also evolve to counter them over time. Its a race of evolution vs. evolution.

Granted, whatever natural immunity some Asian and African ethnic groups developed against diseases in their homeland, it may have managed to partially contain the initial surge and earlier variants of the coronavirus, but not anymore as coronaviruses mutate to counter those natural immunities. Hence why the Brazilian and South African variants might be more infectious --- tougher adversity means tougher viruses.

Seven Chinese-made COVID-19 vaccines enter phase-3 clinical trials: official​

BEIJING, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- A total of seven Chinese-made COVID-19 vaccines have entered phase-3 clinical trials, according to an official with the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST).
China now has 16 self-developed COVID-19 vaccines undergoing clinical trials, said Wu Yuanbin, director-general of science and technology for social development with MOST, at a recent conference on hematology.
An inactivated vaccine developed by Beijing Biological Products Institute Co., Ltd. under the China National Biotec Group (CNBG), affiliated with Sinopharm, was last month the first to receive conditional market approval from the National Medical Products Administration.
The interim results of its phase-3 clinical trials show 79.34 percent efficacy against COVID-19.

Oh dear, if only there's a country that could supply millions of vaccines to an European country, let's just say for the sake of example... Serbia, which is enjoying the second quickest vaccine roll out in all of Europe because they gave up on the EU and went for Chinese vaccine.

You know what's going to happen? Shortly people in the EU with the means to travel is going to look towards and Serbia and think "hmmm, what if I go there to get vaccinated?" Much like the stories we keep hearing about the rich and powerful in Japan getting vaccinated with smuggled Chinese vaccines.

Once that happens things will go escalate quickly. What happens when an EU country decides fuck it and buys Chinese vaccine? How would the MSM explain that?
