Its a total disaster in India. A month ago the daily figure reached 96k cases and the Modi Govt freaked out as it didnt want to be the first country in the world to reach 100k. Suddenly it started dropping 2-3k cases a day to the current 40k .India is handling it pretty well, they have young and immune population.

This was primarily due to
1. Reduced testing and Increased use of RAT tests which produce higher error rather than RT PCR.
2 Many states refused testing unless you have a symptom.
3. Their death rate figures are also fudged as most deaths in India aren't certified by local authorities and hence don't feature in those figures.
Cheap medicine in India is one reason why there hasn't been a colossal death count among poor and hence hospitals aren't overflowing. The doctors here are simply prescribing steroids and immunity boosters and sending patients to home quarantine , what happens later to them isn't tracked by any system. Only those dying in COVID designated hospitals are featuring in the daily death count.
All in all India is in a mess but their media isn't showing it.
1. Searching COVID symptoms- India has low Internet penetration and high digital illiteracy , i wont bank on that figure to determine reality. There's quite a few ways to tell if a country is lying such as looking at how often people search COVID symptoms or hospitalization rates.
So far I don't have good reason to think their numbers are off by very much.
Much of India is still a developing country with poor medical infrastructure. In addition, there is no social welfare for many Indians, they cannot remain in quarantine because they then die of starvation. That is why we have to set different standards for India. I suspect that the number of cases is deliberately embellished in other countries such as Russia. Or that the technical possibilities do not exist to record all Covid-19 patients as in Africa. But, as far as I know, the government did not deny that the virus posed a threat, as it did in Brazil or Belarus. Its a total disaster in India. Now he can blame China for his 2020 unlossable election.
Of course not, as usual deafening loud when China first reported it, as silent as in vacuum when finding it at home. We just found a good defender of such behavior in this forum. No response from the major western media as usual?!
If these findings were to come out of China, there will be a huge outcry of the coverup of the coronavirus in China in as early as September 2019.
Just because these findings have come out of a European country, suddenly this is treated as just a normal outbreak of a disease in the course of history.
