I think people are forgetting who Trump is and comparing him to ordinary people. Ordinary people would only be sent to hospital if their condition was server, not so for Trump.

Also remember that Covid symptoms are quite far ranging, and that there is strong evidence the severity of an infection is strongly linked to the dose of virus a person is exposed to.

A positive test would only prove he was exposed, how strong a dose he was exposed to is not shown.

But if Trump was exposed during the nomination event, then the viral load would be small as he would have only briefly been in close contact of infected people.

Given the likely low dose of virus he was exposed to, near immediate detection of the exposure, and the no-expense-soared treatment he would get (there has been a lot of development in treating the virus since its discovery, with a lot of actually effective treatments now available compared to the start of the pandemic). I think the odds of Trump becoming seriously ill is pretty low (assuming his natural immune system isn’t completely bonked).

This might be very bad for America, as if Trump comes through with barely any symptoms, this may reinforce his view that it’s just another flu.

Its still early days for Trumps Covid-19 adventure. More can still happen over the next 14 days. Then again its terribly irresponsible for the president to come out on a joyride outside of the hospital. His poor driver and Secret Service is gonna get exposed for no good reason.

Besides, I thought he said he wanted to go to the hospital to do some real work as POTUS? He don't look so busy now. Maybe he might visit his golf-course next? You never really know with President Trump.

It will age however the US political establishment wants it to age.
They have been continually deceiving and rewriting history already.
The lies about the Wuhan lab. They know once it's out there. It can't be taken back. They know exactly what they are doing.
The divergence in science reporting vs. the political mainstream reporting shows this.
Science reporting is no longer interested in Wet Markets, Bat Soup, China travel bans, or WHO complicity.
They are digging up old stool samples (ironically, since we're calling out BS here), serotesting, etc.

Nah Trump could lie all he wants but it won’t change ground reality. Unless he changes course and follows scientific advice wave two is inevitable this fall/winter.
