Does anybody believe the death numbers? they seemed to have hovered around 1K for weeks now even as cases continue to rise. Its impossible for India to have a fatality rate of 1% when even most developed countries are still looking at around 2%. Also thier positivity ratio is still pretty high at 8%.

Their population is young and their immune systems are probably better adapted.

Same with African nations.

Dirtier places have lower cases of allergy and auto immune disorders, COVID seems to kill by immune overload so it makes sense third world countries see less deaths.


That said, when they get to like 3-400k cases a day, we can start seeing 3-4k deaths per day or more when hospitals get overloaded.
