Saw something on CNN today. Caught only part of it where it said China had a COVID-19 test that only take 5 minutes and an accuracy rate of at least 82% which is supposedly good. Can't tell what's considered good when the West was laughing at the accuracy of China's earlier testing kits when it turns out Western produced ones were worse performing especially those from the US hence why it took so long to come out with one and still questioned on how accurate. They were talking to some FDA guy so I don't know if they were just talking to him as an expert or the FDA was actually testing it out for themselves..

Huge outbreaks in Europe
I suspected was that Wuhan was just the first detected outbreak, and Covid (the disease) likely originated from elsewhere (even if the ancestral virus can be traced back to China). This theory seems to be more plausible with the actual research being done. With how the second wave is being played out (largely in Europe), could the actual disease's origin be from Europe?
Haven't heard from @vesicles in a while. Wonder if he could shine some light on it.

I was trying to point out the huge implication of the discovery.
35% of Italians having COVID-19 antibodies as of October 2019 would mean that the virus had already existed in Italy a few months before October 2019, and the Italians were infected with COVID-19 long before the virus was discovered in China.
