Talking about beef. Every time when I watch any eastern Asian talk shows (Chinese Mainland, Taiwan, Japan, SK, etc), they talk about how dangerous American beef is. I've been eating steaks of local Angus beef (medium rare) for decades and have not felt any issues. And I have not heard any of my friends complaining about their steaks/beef... What is going on?

You have been conditioned into eating crap beef.

Because Covid 19 can affect cats, does that mean there could be thousand of infected cats with the virus mutating away and then infect humans in a more virulent form?

Livestock producers in US have a bad reputation for using antibiotic and hormones banned in Asia and overseas for health and safety reason. In addition, when the mad cow disease was in full swing, US producers promised to ship meat younger than 3 years old and without spine bone, which was main source of human infection.

US livestock producers and USDA have a very poor reputation of fulfilling and enforcing the agreement and will often be caught violating those agreements. Hence the reputation is a classic case of "reputation reaping what you sow".

On a somewhat related topic on Cow's milk. I have many cousins livings in Asia and North America. I observed that many if not all of my niece and nephew who grew up with US milk has all sorts of allergies, combinations of lactose intolerance, nut allergy, skin allergy, etc.

I am unaware of any of my niece or nephew having any allergies in Asia. I brought this observation up during christmas party among our cousins and they were amazed at how true this observation was.

Anecdotal perhaps but very true for my family.

It saddens me to see everyday, Chinese or Asians being the victims of racist assault. Sees it all over the world, but (now I'm not bashing country) two countries stands out. Australia and America. But they also seem to be a particular area in Canada around Vancouver. Is there a large population of Chinese there?

If I see any racist behaviours, I'll dive in without thinking, but I'm not as young as I used to be. So I think I'll come out worse.

The bigger insult here is that rarely are these perpetrators ever caught and charged in western countries.
There are some instances where they would even blame the victim .

You should try A2 milk if you can get it. It has the A1 beta-casein which causes the upsets removed. Scientists say the A2 protein structure is more comparable to the human breast milk so it would be better for lactose-intolerant folks. But of course, I cannot vouch for this you understand as it has been a long time since I was given breast milk.

Regarding live cattle shipments. Last June we participated in a live order of 15000 cows to China to assist in their stock improvement program. However, the endless bureaucratic checks and animal welfare groups took the gloss off it.

There were babies under 1 die from covid in Chicago and UK. So this is not exactly a unique case
Kids are less susceptible to the virus, but if there are enough, someone will drop dead just due to simple math. That's why there are 20 and 30 year olds dying from this as well.

I like, and quote the words of Dr Fauci

"That sentiment also clashed with Fauci, who said during a testy exchange with Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul that “I think we better be careful that we’re not cavalier in thinking that children are completely immune to the deleterious effects” of Covid-19. "

And entirely your perogative to think whatever you wish to think behind the armour of statistics and simple maths..

Epicenter of stupid. No masks, no distancing, no closures. Functioning brains also forbidden within county limits. To illustrate the point, local elderly man says he only wears a mask if others are afraid cuz he ain't afraid of dying.

I asked her "are they trying for collective Darwin's award?️ "

And she replied " We could rename it Darwin County."

And from elsewhere, those that re opened and who felt their chances of being hit by bolt of lightning to be greater than getting hit by C19
