Is Pence trying to ‘take one for the team’?

I joked some weeks back that the best thing that Trump could do for the US WRT COVID19 response is if he got it and was taken out of action for a few weeks so someone else could take over. He can then come back and claim credit after he gets out of quarantine.

Maybe Pence had the same thought but doesn’t want to be the one left holding the bag if Trump gets ill, so he is trying to get infected and take them both out. They can be quarantine buddies together while Nancy is forced to pick up the pieces. They can claim credit if she does a good job and blame her if things continue to go south. Win-win!

I'm guessing you are talking about Pence not wearing a mask? If you note that everyone else is wearing one. If everyone else is wearing a mask, he doesn't have to. There is no source of aerosol virus.
