Coronavirus 2019-2020 thread (no unsubstantiated rumours!)

Don't believe this. We have seen absolutely no evidence that the viral genome has been touched by human (bioweapon, etc), or that the virus has been handled by human (some sort of lab accident). Any man-made manipulation leaves some kind of clue in the genome. We have seen none. This virus is all natural.

In particular with the above article. This article was put on line back in December, 2019 and was based on an outdated and false data that the viral genome contained HIV genes. This is now considered to be completely false. The original Indian article on the topic of the HIV genes listed 4 base pairs shared by the Coronavirus and HIV. You will actually find more commonly shared DNA sequences if you randomly pick two genes from any living species. Keep in mind that ALL genomes of ALL living things are composed of 4 (four) bases. Can you imagine that kind of overlaps that genomes of all living things can have? In fact, I'm almost 120% sure that you will find even more commonly shared DNA sequences if you compare the viral genome with our own. Of course, that does not mean that someone has combined human genome with the virus.

The journal "open journal of regenerative medicine" has an impact factor of 1.33. In the biology/medical field, any journal will an impact factor below 1.5 would be considered as not peer-reviewed...
Absolutely, thank you for your honesty and integrity through this whole process....

Yes, we’ve got our new M&P. It shot fantastically. We got a free range day for buying the firearm at the shop. So we took advantage of it. We shot about 200 rounds and the new M&P felt fantastic. It jammed a couple times and that was it. Our next goal is an AR. The shop owner promised me a good deal. And he said he could make it full auto for me if I wanted. I need to convince my wife that we need a rifle for home defense...

Careful with the full auto offer. It’s pretty easy to do (I think someone made an auto sear with a coat hanger), but highly illegal unless you have the right licensing.

If you are in the US, the only two ways for a civilian to legally own a select fire rifle is if they hold one of the few pre-ban certificates issued before full auto firearms were banned; or if you apply for a special dealer licence that allows you to sell select fire weapons to law enforcement or the military.

awesome dude, I'm happy you have "His and Her's M&P's, sweet! you'll have to get a license to go full auto, that's a pretty radical step my friend, but you DO NEED an AR, they are awesome! end off topic

and thank you again for your insight into the covid 19 pandemic, its been very reassuring, we actually now have two confirmed cases in our small town in the Midwest, we are about 3 hours South of Chicago, and 1 hour North of St. Louis,,, so it is a concern, stay safe Brother!

Thanks for the heads up! I’ll be more careful and make sure everything is legal and by the book when I do it. Most likely I won’t do the full auto. Just a thought though...

There are lots of places in Texas that you can rent a full auto, and I highly recommend you do that once the corona virus runs its course, you would indeed love it... me I'm to cheap for full auto.... in addition to play wolfs thoughts, I believe you can get a "stamp" from the ATF, perhaps our boy terran empire would know more about that...

There's a young Gent in Texas that has a WC-10 by Wilson Combat, its a larger format AR in 308, we are in negotiations, but its very pricey!

anyway, covid seems to be ramping down now in the large cities that fueled that scary number of deaths, its now out in the field and streams, so still deadly, but thankfully population density will slow it down now...
