who will cheer at Parties' rallies now
(I don't mean to talk specifics of the presidential race like Biden x Sanders or something)

The problem with this theory is that if COVID-19 was circulating in the US in 2019, then why are people still getting infected? Remember flu season starts around November. Typical flu antibodies last 6 months, and it's reasonable to think COVID-19 antibodies would also last 6 months. The US population would still be well within the antibody period!

Even if we assume COVID-19 antibodies are extremely short-lived, why didn't the US experience massive infections and deaths in 2019?

I'm assuming neither of us are virologists or experts on pandemics or how antibodies actually work. You said it yourself when you assumed antibodies working for 6 months. But this assumes the entire country got infected in a very short period of time. Whereas in reality, it would continue to spread throughout the US over several seasons. The season you make the observation could have been wave two or three already. The US did in fact experience much higher "flu" infection and deaths in 2019. Doctors in the US noticed a strange disease that wasn't the known viruses that caused flu when samples returned from lab tests.

So it's unreasonable to suppose that COVID-19 antibodies would be in everyone in the US. Just like it would be unreasonable to assume that one seasonal strain of flu making its way around a country during winter will infect everyone. It stays around and continues evolving.

Just a little chart I drawn up over last 5 days
China covid cases and the rest of the world combined.
I guess at the end of today, cases around the world will be greater than that of China.
Especially as we seen new covid cases in China to be in the low 2 digits, and other countries daily cases numbering in the thousands.

Has anyone noticed that not much effect in Africa? So could the hypothesis that the disease will gradually become less dangerous in summer be true?

Great video from a grateful nation for all the help from China. Italian broadcast chinese national anthem, and at the end Italian citizens shouted, "Gracias, Cina".

Little wonder, the Italians feel this way when, after all, help from the EU was less forthcoming!

now [what you posted Yesterday at 10:07 PM]

(asking because I don't know the Chinese language)

"I traced the story to".

There is really no need for you to verify and validate every single post people make on here. You really need to lighten up a bit, Jura.

As far as the cartoons are concerned. There really is nothing to explain. It is a light-hearted look into the Covid-19 outbreak.

The older cartoon was the world looking in wishing China to recover and get well soon. The countries are holding placard saying "stand up, yes you can. Etc. Even USA had a "make China great" cap on (although not sure how much of that is tongue-in-cheek)

Where as the later cartoon showed China looking in wishing the sick countries well and get better soon with 加油。Come on!

had you included a translation/explanation in your post Yesterday at 10:07 PM
I would've probably let it be, but since you didn't, I checked if the cartoon was meant to be a joke, 'ribbing', provocation, sarcasm or what ever, by the way what was it then? I still don't get it

oh and the original source could've been useful, too

Nothing of the sort! As I said, you really need to lighten up! its not a joke, provocation, sarcasm or what ever!

It is simply a cartoon I saw that showed the world looking in caring what happened to China. Then the second cartoon showed China looking in caring for the rest of the world.

I thought this is how it should be, nothing more and nothing less. Anything else is, down to your imagination and interpretation!

As I said, if you lighten up a bit, you probably find members here will respond, and engaged with you on a regular basis. (just an observation).

Italy contributes 15% of EU budget, Is it not entitled to disaster aid and assistance from EU?
