Did China also send significant amounts of aid to Korea and Japan (beyond the test kits)?
I read somewhere China did provide aid to both but my impression is the majority of medical supplies was purchased.
It depends on circumstance. Italy received massive aid because it was slammed so hard and actually reached out to China. China also made a huge mask donation to Japan because Japan did the same for China when it first started in Wuhan. Korea, I don't know, because they seem to be doing quite well with it and have not asked for help.

Governmental Aids from PRC to ROK.
Central:
1 million normal masks, 100 thousand N95 masks, 10000 protect suits, test kit to test 50000 people.
Shanghai:
500 thousand masks directly fly to Daegu.
Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province:
PPE worth 230 thousand Yuan.
Nanjing, Jiangsu Province:
2000 protect suits, 2000 hazmat suits, 50000 masks, an AI diagnose CT system.

Private and corperation aids are not counted.

Chinese government also guaranteed that current order of 5 million masks from Korea will be delivered ASAP.

Have you watched pirates of the caribbean where Will’s dad was part of Davy Jones’ ship? Well the forum is the ship and Jura is forever part of the ship.
I don't want to have a beef with anyone here. If I really have offended him/her by my remark then I am sorry but I don't know of any comment when I insulted him/her for his/her ethnicity. Anyway to the respected mods: sorry for the trouble for having to check and remove my posts.
Wish master Jura and the respected mods a great day.

would be interesting to know where/how did the SCMP get this, anyway
Coronavirus: China’s first confirmed Covid-19 case traced back to November 17
  • Government records suggest first person infected with new disease may have been a Hubei resident aged 55, but ‘patient zero’ has yet to be confirmed
  • Documents seen by the Post could help scientists track the spread of the disease and perhaps determine its source

this sounds important: "... there are two vital criteria to judge whether the epidemic really ends: first, no new cases for a continuous 28 days; second, all infected cases have been hospitalized."
