I don't think covid is as bad as Chinese make it seem to be. I've had covid 3 times over the past year and all 3 times were completely no symptom and I'm 38. So there's that. Even if China drops 0 covid now, I doubt there would be many deaths. Keep in mind in the West the deaths are way over counted. They counted anyone who died within 30 days of testing covid positive as a covid death. The vast majority of these death were due to cancer or things like accidents. The mean age of covid death of 80+ in the West, which means they would have died anyway with or without covid.
What's up @Yommie

Australia cut self isolation from 7 days to 5 days. It doesn't seem Australia will drop mandatory self isolation until next year or so.

It's not gonna matter that much, most people dun bother to get tested or isolate nowadays. Testing numbers are way down. Masks on street is definitely in minority. And mostly just elderly and Asians from overseas still bother to wear them. Masks on public transportation is still required but less than 50% still do it.

The winter wave has eased slightly, I think daily deaths will average about 25-35 for Aus, but some states dun bother reporting statistics so it's hard to get accurate figures. Hospitalization figures did not drop a lot, medical staff are pretty overworked, some are still on strike as far as I know.

has been approved by National Medical Products Administration of China (NMPA) to be used as a booster dose, the developer CanSino Biologics said on Sunday.

The vaccine, named "Convidecia Air," is the inhaled version of the Tianjin-based company's adenoviral vector vaccine, Convidecia.
It "provides a non-invasive option" for people who prefer not to take a jab, the company said, adding that the new vaccine can establish immunity against COVID-19 after "just one breath."

The company said the Phase III trail results published in the medical journal The Lancet indicate that the new vaccine is can induce strong humoral, cellular and mucosal immunity to achieve triple protection and effectively contain the infection and spread of the virus.
There are many kinds of COVID-19 vaccines from different companies available in China, including Convidecia. More than 3.4 billion COVID-19 vaccine doses have been taken in the Chinese mainland, according to data from the National Health Commission (NHC).

The Chinese mainland has collectively reported 244,708 COVID-19 cases since late 2019, NHC data also showed. Among them, 233,284 have recovered and 5,226 passed away.
