Same to you din @ansy1968 it'll get better soon enough. Just as long the tipaklongs a.k.a. Americans and Taiwanese separatist don't push China to conduct or take military action then the rebound in the South East Asian region including the Philippines is going to be there.
@Bellum_Romanum bro the beauty of living in a tropical country, you see a lot of legs.....lol the the reason I become a leghorn rooster.

Good video for people who can understand chinese.

For those that don't, the short version is that stuff REALLY have to be done in regards to Shanghai. Like improving laws (Shanghai didn't say there were fully lockdowned/封城, but they were in practice actually in full lockdown/封城), and then it goes down to how badly Shanghai has handled things, especially when put in comparison with both Beijing and Shenzhen.

Basically, heads needs to roll in Shanghai.

If these officials in Shanghai still haven't learned their lesson and let the epidemic rebound in their city again, the people need to stand up overthrow these dumbwits. On the topic of laws regarding Covid prevention, checkout this air safety requirements for catering business in Hong Kong. They recommended HEPA filters and UVC Lamps.

Is there an equivalent or similar law requirements in the mainland?

Nah, there's a need for some of the officials in Shanghai to get the boot, I'm also pretty sure a lot is going around behind the scenes, so in general we should just wait and see.

No idea, I'm from EU so really don't know.

In regards to the laws I was talking about in that video, it's not laws like what you pointed out with HK, but something more about people's rights when something like the Shanghai pandemic happens, because in reality since they didn't announce they were 封城, they might actually not have the rights to do a lot of what they did during these 3 months (example in the video given was denying a pregnant women access to a hospital, which might not have been 'lawful').
In comparison, when Wuhan 封城 at the start of the pandemic, it allows the chinese government to do a lot more lawfully/legally.

Jesus, that's just cruel. No wonder why there's like an endless stream of stories and videos talking about how messed up the lockdown is in Shanghai. These really shouldn't be taken lightly, else its going to damage the reputation of the local governments up to the central government.

Not entirely sure about the validity of that one, but it might very well be true.
As it stands, there's lots of reports about the incompetence in Shanghai's handling of this outbreak, and its in completely stark contrast to many other cities in China such as Shenzhen.

Some people who say was in Shenzhen and have relatives in Shanghai, basically compares the two as the difference between heaven and hell.

And also besides Shenzhen, we also got Beijing, which has handled it pretty competently as well, I they didn't stop it in 2 weeks like Shenzhen, but disruption to daily life might have been even lower in Beijing (although the time to squash the outbreak is longer).

TL: DR I'm VERY sure heads will end up rolling in Shanghai and a lot more changes as well, we just need to wait a bit more.

Shenzhen did a full scale lockdown for a week. Beijing has yet to do a full scale lockdown.

I'm in Luohu in Shenzhen. We have never been in a full scale lockdown. I've been here since the beginning of the pandemic. There have been small scale lockdowns involving several blocks of apartment complexes but never a citywide lockdown.

Regarding the comparison between Shenzhen and other cities. We have been suffering from our proximity to Hong Kong. During the peak of Hong Kong's wave, we had lots of illegal crossings from Hong Kong, making it hard for our numbers to go to zero. I live very close to the border (which is fairly long). Even now, there are guards set up in tents along the border every few hundred yards or so to deter illegal crossings. I bike regularly along the border, and it's been like this for the past few months.

I've been somewhat surprised with the situation in Shanghai. But I think most likely there were isolated incidents that were handled poorly, but by and large, most people just faced a lot of inconvenience. Shanghai has a population of 24 million. Even if you handle the situation well for 99% of the people, that 1% will represent >200K people. Compared with Taiwan, which has a population of 23 million for example, Shanghai performed infinitely better. There are cases of mismanagement everywhere, including in Singapore, SK, and Japan. People just like to attack China whenever possible.
