Why people still care about this virus? I went to shopping mall yesterday, no one was wearing a mask, I also didn't wear that rag. It's over, the life is almost back to normal, only flights to other countries are not back, I suggest to stop testing at all, and this madness will disappear, and international tourism will be back.

I got the omnicron variant three weeks ago, i was out of the running for 2~3 days. Imaging such a thing going through your country taking out big portions of your workforce 3~5 days each corona season, those are general strike level of economic shut down. While the west already has a big labor shortage i dont think having omnicron like virus take down big portions of your remaining work force will be good for the economy.

why, you think permanent lockdowns is better for economy.

Once China gets massive inventory of antivirals and antibody cocktails for breakthrough hospital cases (mainly elderly/immunocompromised) , and once 100% population is vaccinated and boosted, there is little else you can do against an endemic disease like COVID that can infect rats/dogs/mice/cats. I hope China can get enough supply of antiviral drugs within the next year or so.

Aside from some users like myself, China generally speaking still cares about it. The pieces that are necessary to “live” with the virus aren’t in place. As for international tourism, the Chinese don’t depend on it for life like Thailand or other smaller nations do. So it’s negligible.

We also didn't experience 100,000's of deaths like Western countries, which is why Chinese are more sensitive to COVID deaths than western countries
