In Hanzhong city of Shan'xi province, a PCR tester went into the potato field to swab sample from a local farmer.
The tester was in the village to collect test samples for all the locals. When he found out that this old man and his wife were not at home, he followed them to their farm field where they were planting potato.

Some western and pro-west commentators really twisted their logic into Chinese fried pretzels to rationalize/cope with the massive death toll in the West (compared to China's) during the COVID pandemic:
mRNA vaccines aren't cheap. China did not use it because it was not necessary (figure 1). It has nothing to do with nationalism. Chinese policy makers have no qualms to start using it once the necessity arose (figure 2).

Irony, the people who are saying China is doing too much today with 'zero COVID' are the same people who said China didn't do enough at the beginning of pandemic. Therefore, if you follow this logic to it's natural progression - only what the West has done is correct path - half-assed lockdowns and premature giving up.

Where's that natural immunity and superior Western vaccines stopping this new Omicron variant rising through Europe now? They're saying something like 20% of new cases in the US are coming from this new variant. They're painting China's surge in cases as China's end already when one US city averages that many cases in a day.
