Doctors follow incentives just like everyone else does. Doctors are at risking of being harassed or sued for negligence if older people or people with comorblities suffer from vaccines' side effects, but they have no responsibility for unvaccinated people dying from covid.
Someone needs to take the responsibility off the doctors shoulders if they want more vaccinations done. The best way forward is to have an AI expert system to make vaccination recommendations. I assume China has been collecting data on vaccine side effects.

Typical Western media cheap shots - what's the alternative? Millions die and tens of millions got infected like in the U.S. and West? In the U.S. today, the infection rate is still more than 10 times higher than that of China's. Without the zero-COVID policy, China would probably have fared much much worse.
As I said before, Chinese policy makers will not hesitate to use and produce Western medications once the need arises.
I didn't post this article from Bloomberg which originally from Mingpao due to the fact that it is using misinformation to discredit Sinovac and praise Pfizer. Today, the HK government finally responded to this misinformation. I don't really care which vaccines you vaccinated with or have concerns of side effects which are all legitimate but any attempts to discredit the effectiveness of vaccines is a sickness and causing unnecessary deaths and sufferings.
HK government has clarified that the mortality rate for HK elderly is similarly among people vaccinated with Sinovac and Pfizer. From HK statistics, one dose Pfizer gives better protection, two doses similar protection, three doses Sinovac gives better protection.
It means that more than 80% of the elderly in the community are vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine, and only 20% adults are vaccinated with Pfizer vaccine, which is similar to the situation of mortality rate of for vaccinated people over 80 years old. Citing data analysis, she pointed out that the mortality rate for all the population was 0.09% with two injections, 0.7% with one injection, and 2.58% without injections. Great protection."
She pointed out that people over the age of 80 accounted for 3,837 of the total deaths, of which 2,837 people, or 74%, did not vaccinate. She emphasized that vaccination will definitely help. That is the danger of looking at the raw data and directly making a ridiculous deduction from it, like the Bloomberg article saying more than 80% of the elderly death were vaccinated with Sinovac without mentioning that more than 80% of that age group were vaccinated with Sinovac.
Even the statement below has a problem because it didn't take into account the older age groups are mainly vaccinated with Sinovac while younger age groups are mainly with Pfizer.
Not sure if already posted. Clover's vaccine candidate has maintained 100% protection against severe cases of any variants 5 months into phase III. Keep in mind trial participants are overwhelmingly under 60.
Clover is looking at a mid-2022 filling for regulatory approval in China, and 3rd quarter filling to WHO. It will be interesting is see if Chinese regulators approve Clover as it uses an American adjuvant.
