Here is an earlier news article about the lab BGI built in Wuhan after the city's locked down which can process 10,000 RT-PCR tests a day:

“The folks at BGI have taken on a huge risk to their own health,” noted Laurie Goodman, PhD, editor-in-chief at Gigascience (which is co-published by BGI and Oxford University Press). She told GEN that the team in Wuhan has “closed down all holiday plans and diverted resources from other research projects in order to be able to take on the enormous and costly task of helping during the outbreak.” Moreover, Goodman asserted that the head of BGI, Wang Jian, who is “wealthy in his own right” is leading the team in Wuhan. “I’m trying to imagine,” she continued, “other folks who have built wealth off of technology, going into the heart of a disaster and staying there to work—not just for a photo op.”

Maybe for once America’s awful medial insurance situation is working to their advantage.

Most Americans simply cannot afford to go to A&E for mundane things like the flu. So you are unlikely to have Wuhan-like hospital rushes that resulted in such high infection and fatality rates in Wuhan compared to everywhere else inside and outside of China.

That will change if news gets out about an uncontrolled outbreak. Which might be why they are desperately trying to downplay and cover up an outbreak.

And before anyone gets started about the ‘free press’ rest assured they will be more than happy to help suppress the news if their paymasters tell them to, and they will do so eagerly with some transparent lie about it being in the ‘public interest’, and are probably busy working on patting themselves on the back later with articles
Regarding "free speech" it is interesting to note that American Offical medical specialists or scientists must get clearance from the Whitehouse before they can talk publicly on Covid19. Officials Must get approval from the vice-president office before they can talk publicly so that they can coordinate information with out confusing the public.

2 documentaries on "the Station B".

First one is about Shanghai Police fighting the outbreak. People's Public Security Fighter(人民公安战士) is much more than just "police" in a level of essence.

Look how they manage the surge of crowd in railway station. This is exactly the know-how I mentioned in my last post. Things get done by detailed and dedicated work. Chinese made it to l hammer down the outbreak by respecting science and caring people, not by orientism mystic or cOmMuNIsm brutality.

It just takes simple protocols, a group of kind and discplined guys and girls in uniform, plus some teamwork to manage a huge transport hub (go google how large the HongQiao Station is) amid an epidemic. Pls someone tell those gov and media stop their brainless China-Bashing bsht and LEARN FROM IT!
In English voice with Chinese sub.

This one, IN WUHAN, is about how ordinary people in Wuhan work together to keep things in one piece.
Episode 1 is about drivers.

Mr. Chen Jie, taxi driver, one of the volunteer drivers.
He carry goods to communities in daytime, and carry medics from hospital to home on morning and night.
After sending an ambulance driver home, he said while disinfecting the backseat: "I would be lying to you if I say I'm not afraid."

Mrs. Li Shaoyun, volunteer taxi dispatcher. Her daily job was suspended because of the lockdown. She lives in dorm of the company with her daughter, working on help volunteer driver and doctors need delivery to link up each other.

"The Elephant" is the captain of a professional expelorer team, leads a group of civilian rescue volunteer.
He had been working on taking medics to home and hospital for weeks, now he is delivering thousands of donated protection gears to hospitals.
"Elephant" calls to his co-workers: "Wolf, remember the disclaimer agreement about the worst possibility, that thing we signed in Wenchuan(epicenter of 2008 earthquake)? Our teammates are good at dealing with the danger, but I think families should be taken care of, just in case something happens. Someone named Moon came to me, she is willing to help us get insurance for it. New protection suits just arrived, call up guys, come and take some, ok? That's it."

Volunteer rescue team gathered up, "Elephant" is handing over the agreement to everyone:
"Have a look."
"No need, I knew it, just like the old one."
"It's not a shame if anybody quit now."
"Yes, nothing shameful, we understand. It's acceptable given such a situation."
"Those who willing to join, sign on this. It is still ok to quit for now."
These men, drivng nice cars, meet together to sign the paper, a commitment of "completely volunteering, and no one else shall hold any accountability if I get infected and suffered severe consequence".

"Everybody, take care of yourself."

"Elephant" talked about a she-volunteer called "Dandan", whilst driving to buy food she need.
"We met in a wechat group. One day, I need to escort a patient with severe kidney problem to hospital, but then fond I had nothing but facemask. She worked hard and helped me out. Later we got closer, she told me she is feeling bad, with cough and headache, but she was still doing a good job in our wechat group. She helped so many people, I must go help her."

Conversation with lady selling vegetable.
"Those vegetable I bought from you are for volunteers working outside and some patients' family, for donation."
"Same. I donate to my community everyday. I told them I shall put vegetables somewhere on a broad ground, take whatever you need. But, deep in my heart, I still feel afraid."
"Yes, afraid, but you did it afterall."
"Since I began to do so, I haven't touch my child for 3 or 4 days! Kid question me everyday, why you dont get closer to me mom? We can stay close before, why we can't now? I know things will get better one day or another, but how long it gonna take?"
"No matter how long it takes, we shall outlong it."
"Well said, sir."
"Hold it up and carry on!"

Conversation between taxi driver Mr Chen and the ambulance driver he had helped.
"Is your job still heavy now?"
"Not so many runs today."
"Ambulances are no longer busy, a good news!"
"Yes, my workload drops everyday."
"That's good. Need to go, bye."

Mr. Chen having a phonecall with a lady:
"My friend told me that the Government of Jiang-han District was recruiting volunteers. He failed to join, because too many people had already signed up."
"Yes, be a volunteer and help others. Why not?"
"He said the only thing he can do is keep driving. Oh, the news just said that Central Government just allocated another 2000 doctors to here."
"Every city in nationalwide is sending in medics and gears to help Wuhan. No shortage anymore."

Mr. Chen showing his wechat record:
"See? My wife sent me message at 6 oclock, dinner on table. She actually means she worries about me."
"She once told me with red eyes, saying, you are everything to me, we are doomed if you are down. I joked to her and said, just take the money I left to prepare another marrige. My boy also want to be a volunteer, I turned him down because he is underaged."
Chen went back home, followed by another typcial Chinese family coversation:
"Any homework today?"
"Yes."
"Finished?"
"Not yet."
"Not yet?"

In early morning, "Elephant" suited up, packed vegetable and medicine Dandan needs.
He put the parcels on a bench under Dandan's apartment, made a phonecall but didn't get an answer. He waited in worry.
Dandan showed up. She waved hand to the jeep, before taking things home with shaking steps.
Elephant could no longer hold tears.
"We didn't know each other personally, neither get close. She publish infos about who and where in need of what, I get some tasks done. That's all. I don't want to see her like this. A tough girl become weak now, moves like a 80 year old granny. Exhausted, breathing so hard, just beacuse walked from home to here. "

Elephant hit on road again.
"When people say "in dangerous of life", it's usually just sayin. Now in here, it is real, 200%, 300%, 500% true in dangerous of life. "

Mrs Li still does her dispatch job in dorm of cab company, and life contonues with her daughter, Yiyi.
"I have not really been afraid. Now I'm afraid she got infected, or I got infected and left her alone. My wish now is raise my child up, help fulfill her wish of being a doctor."

Mr. Chen shuttles in night of the city, deliver tired doctors to home.
"You do your job as a medic. I do my job as a volunteer. Now, it is a once in a life chance to make our work really worthy. Saying frankly, in these days, one who leave home for helping others has already exluded life and death from regard. So, we are all brotherens now."

Elephant delivered another pack of food.
"What behind me is my family, friend and countrymen. I went to rescue Wenchuan Earthquake, now it's my hometown in danger, the city I was born and raised. I believe there should be a light guide us to proceed."
