@SteelBird @Bellum_Romanum bro I've nothing against FIL-AM or other Filipinos who migrate to EU or the US, BUT the attitude must change and need to return back to our core value, the white privilege mentality is a way for the West to promote elitism, which divide society. And here is a perfect example and a set back for us Hua Qiao here who try to conform and want to be a positive contributor to society. All that hard work is being diminished by a few "EXCEPTIONAL" people who thought that Her Freedom is more important than the rest of us.

This kind of people are the loudest China critic and demand action BUT first one to leave IF there is a war and for us Locals to clean up the mess they leaved behind. And they had the gall to call themselves "Filipino Patriot" while holding a foreign passport.

MANILA - Government will implement penalties for quarantine violators to the "fullest extent of the law," Malacañang said Monday after a Filipino traveler from the US was able to skip her isolation to go to a party.
The traveler was identified as Gwyneth Chua who arrived in the Philippines on Dec. 22, and was reported to have attended a party on Dec. 23, according to the Department of the Interior and Local Government.
She tested positive for COVID-19 on Dec. 27, and was transferred to a different isolation facility on Dec. 29.

She remains under isolation, said acting presidential spokesperson Karlo Nograles.
"Because of what happened number 1 we will ensure that whatever applicable laws will be enforced and whoever can be prosecuted we will prosecute," he told ANC's Headstart.
"And it’s not just civil cases to be filed but talagang (really) criminal charges will be filed against those responsible, whether it’s the violator or the establishment. We will do what is necessary to serve as an example to all."
The Philippine National Police is conducting its investigation, Nograles added.
"There are already admissions I think by the lady herself and even by the hotel. Evidence gathering na 'yan and then sasampahan na 'yan ng kaso (That's evidence gathering and then cases will be filed)," he said.
"Ayokong pangunahan so hayaan muna natin ang evidence gathering ng ating mga kapulisan at CIDG (PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group)."

(I don't want to preempt it so let's just wait for the result of the PNP-CIDG's evidence gathering.)
Those who are found in violation of COVID-19 health protocols are punishable under Republic Act 11332, or the "Mandatory Reporting
of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Health Concern Act."
Under the law, violators can be fined up to P50,000, or face imprisonment up to 6 months.
It would be up to the judge whether the quarantine violator would face a fine or imprisonment, according to Nograles

Strict accountability military style. There's a bunch of idiots who thinks that such a strict system invites officials to either under report, overreact etc.. but why can't the same principle be applied when it comes to the military? In the U.S. Navy, if a Captain of any ship runs his or her ship aground they're automatically FIRED no questions asked, yet such discipline isn't even second guessed or questioned for being too strict a process.

Public officials should and must undergo the same rigor and accountability for the system to maintain it's standing, respect, and trust from the very public they're entrusted to serve. The western politicians thrive on just simply saying sorry, maybe getting fired just for them to become the next lobbyist or working for an even bigger $$ in the industries they used to regulate.

@Bellum_Romanum A Big Yes! bro, a former Hua Qiao herself, she is rich and I think she is a fourth generation and her parents set a bad example, a willing accomplice in flaunting their influence and wealth in by passing the restriction, A major blowback in our effort to co-exist. Now the law should apply to all and set an example or else WE the ordinary Hua Qiao will be targeted.

This is precisely why western elites fear and hate China because China holds its leaders to even higher standards than this. God forbid the western sheeple get wind of this and demand the same from their leaders aka the western elite.

Currently the western ‘law and order democracy’ model is the best possible model for the elite, where they can get into positions of high power to actively promote their own friends’ and families’ interests to reap in colossal profits, and so long as they follow the very basic rules, there are zero personal consequences or costs to even the most atrocious fuck ups and wilful incompetence beyond maybe having to give up your official job and get a massively overpaid private sector ‘consultancy’ job instead.

She must see herself like a White American when she of all people realize (maybe in denial) that she's not seen as white ever in America but as the See See Pee Chinese...Filipinos are just so deeply Americanized that they totally forgot their ethnic make up.

I have always wondered why do public officials in the west or anywhere else aren't held to a higher standard of leadership and accountability. There's an ample reasons why most of the public have a disdain view and disgust towards their public officials because they're largely seen as ineffectual tax spender living the life without ever being accountable to anyone.

Public officials, civil servants in the west are seen as lazy while working on jobs that's almost guaranteed for life with pension, better vacation pays etc...while being inefficient, ineffective, and incompetent at their jobs. There's no wonder the public in the west don't have a lot of respect to their government and to the very system they have which is also why in country like the U.S. libertarianism, hatred for big government have big strong appeal. The Regan shtick that government is the problem not the solution into the American psyche has been so ingrained due to the severe incompetence and lackluster of the various institutions that provide shitty service with shitty people.

The only government service or used to receive an overwhelming positive support from the American people was the U.S. military precisely because of the rigour, discipline, accountability at all levels minus the Generals in today's U.S. military.

It’s a feature, not a bug.
