Indeed. 170 people are a lot, not everyone passing by or sharing something with every others. I won't be surprised if the actual protection is lower than 50%.
Sure, should be LESS THAN 40% as reported from real world data in Israel.

Israel says Pfizer Covid vaccine is just 39% effective as delta spreads,

but still prevents severe illness

That was for delta.
I expect it to be even less for Omicron, unfortunately.

Another great news for "mRNA Superiority believers". I switch the name as some people is very sensitive to word "worshipper". :D

Disclaimers: Under no circumstances should this report be interpreted as opinion against mRNA technology. By continue reading this report, you agree to give up the "right" to ignore the data provided in this report, you also give up the "right" to drag in activities unrelated to the reported incident in this article.

If you disagree with disclaimer, you must stop reading further immediately. Any violation of this disclaimer after this point of time would lead to being reported as a troll.

Summary: 70 infected out of 170 fully vaccinated people. That is 41%. In other words, 59% was protected.

Here is the share of vaccine types in Spain

Not all of the 170 people are exposed to the virus. Let's say 75% of the 170 are exposed to the virus, that would mean 54% (41/75) of the exposed were infected, i.e. 46% did not get infected.

The thing is, 46% is not even the efficacy rate of the vaccine since the Attack Rate formula can't be used here because of the absence of the unvaccinated in the pool of people in that party. All we know is that it can only be lower than 46% unless there is proof that all the unvaccinated people that is exposed to the Covid virus will be infected i.e. 100% of the unvaccinated, which we know shouldn't be the case since there were many cases of family members not getting infected from infected member(s) in close family settings.

I know but did not extend my post with "the protection in real life would be well lower than 59%".

If protection against infection drops to low numbers, but protection against hospitalization and death is up in the 70's or 80's, I am personally going to hold off on boosters with Pfizer for a good year or two (cuz I am young and had adverse event with subclinical myocarditis symptoms).

Statistically, everyone on earth will eventually get infected (unless you are a China and you lockdown forever), just whether you get hospitalized or die.

(also, Pfizer is trying to push for annual boosters similar to the flu, they are also profit-motivated)

I'm about to pickup a guy coming back from France via Singapore on the 13rd this month. He is the nephew of my shareholder who I can hardly refuse though I'm reluctant to meet anybody coming from abroad. The guy is a Vietnamese oversea student in France. Now he wanna come back home but Vietnam has not open commercial international flight yet. So he chooses to fly to Cambodia and cross the border into Vietnam by land. I'm the only person who may coordinate his trip in Cambodia. So I may risk myself exposing to a potential virus carrier. So what I can do now is to virtually quarantine myself at least one week from all my family members and co-workers after contacting with this guy. There's no other choice for me. Wishing myself good luck!
Good luck and good health to you

Pizer vaccine efficacy is in the 30-40s % after about 6 months according to Israel studies. The advertise 94% was in rich "work from home" USA were medical staff also had access to N95 mask.

Try to wear a KN95 and crack the window open? Don't recirculate the air on your AC.
