Try to wear a KN95 and crack the window open? Don't recirculate the air on your AC.

I, forgot to suggest you get proper "Hazmat" suit.

KN95 is available everywhere with cheap price and I have a lot in stock, so this is no problem.

Goggle and hazmat suit are also available with reasonable prices; something like US$5 for hazmat suit and US$3 for goggle. However, wearing these make one feels like you're in war with someone. Further, I might have dinner with him as he'd stay one night in Phnom Penh.

Thank you guys for your kind advices. I will take your advice by wearing a KN95 mask, open car windows and keep safe distance. The most important things is I have 3 doses of vaccine. So I think I'm rather safe. A one-week self quarantine after the event will also keep people around me safe too.

We are at WAR.
War with the Covid virus.
Lives are at stake, not a time for civilities.

Hazmat is overkill though and clumsy.
I suggest a more amicable looking face shield rather than goggles for added safety.

I'm about to pickup a guy coming back from France via Singapore on the 13rd this month. He is the nephew of my shareholder who I can hardly refuse though I'm reluctant to meet anybody coming from abroad. The guy is a Vietnamese oversea student in France. Now he wanna come back home but Vietnam has not open commercial international flight yet. So he chooses to fly to Cambodia and cross the border into Vietnam by land. I'm the only person who may coordinate his trip in Cambodia. So I may risk myself exposing to a potential virus carrier. So what I can do now is to virtually quarantine myself at least one week from all my family members and co-workers after contacting with this guy. There's no other choice for me. Wishing myself good luck!

Good Luck. I am almost sure that you will take the necessary precaution and your guest? is conscientiously responsible and understanding enough to appreciate your help.

But under no circumstance should you be made to feel guilty and let your guard down. Too much is at stake for you, your family and your community.

Monoclonal neutralizing antibody treatment for COVID-19 have passed phase 3 trial in China and is now approved for emergency use

The NMPA approval is based on positive final and interim results from the NIH-sponsored ACTIV-2 Phase 3 clinical trial with 847 enrolled outpatients. The final results demonstrated a statistically significant 80% (78% in interim results) reduction of hospitalization and death with fewer deaths through 28 days in the treatment arm (0) relative to placebo (9), and improved safety outcome over placebo in non-hospitalized COVID-19 patients at high risk of clinical progression to severe disease. Similar efficacy rates were observed in participants initiating therapy early (0-5 days) and late (6-10 days), following symptom onset, providing critically needed clinical evidence in COVID-19 patients who were late for treatment.

"As the first COVID-19 treatment in China, the amubarvimab/romlusevimab combination demonstrates positive clinical outcomes and favorable safety in global, multicenter trials. It is the only monoclonal antibody combination globally with confirmed clinical efficacy among patients infected by SARS-COV-2 variants in the pivotal pre-marketing trial," said Prof. Linqi Zhang, Director of the Global Health and Infectious Diseases Research Center and Comprehensive AIDS Research Center at School of Medicine Tsinghua University.

Thank you for your advice, I get your point. However, I'm not going to let my guard down. No body does, actually. I'm just going to do it in a better way. I can't do like everybody is a bad guy. The stake is on a country's policy. Since our country chooses to let any vaccinated person comes in, I think there are few things I can do. Try the best, do the best and wish for the best!

Chinese scientists developed two simulations of a human body infected with COVID-19 to assist future research on precision therapy and the testing of efficacy and safety of vaccines and drugs.

The Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMCAS) announced the progress made in research models of COVID-19 infection on Wednesday.

Research teams from the IMCAS, Tsinghua University and China Agricultural University developed two new models for COVID-19 infection: the human distal lung organoids (hDLO) and the humanized pig model.

The existing cell lines and animal models on guinea pigs and some primates used for simulation of COVID-19 infection cannot capture the key characteristics of human physiology and therefore limit the accuracy of test on efficacy of vaccines and drugs.

The two new models can show clinical features similar to actual COVID-19 patients. The better simulation of a human body has made the two models more reliable on in-depth study of how COVID-19 infects and develops in the human body.

As a result, precision therapy and testing of vaccines and drugs can be promoted and improved, the IMCAS said in the announcement.

Supported by several national funds, including China's National Key R&D Programs and National Natural Science Foundation, the research findings have been published on Cell Discovery magazine.

I agree a goggle looks offending to the person. I had another thought that the risk may be very low if both of you wear masks at all time and have the car naturally ventilated. But if there is a dinner, that makes it impossible and you two are face to face.

I can only wish you good luck. And also hope that the person is careful himself that he had PCR tested negative before boarding and kept mask all the time.

Yeah, wearing mask all time is one of the best way to prevent infection and I'm thinking of how to avoid that dinner. He just stays in Phnom Penh for one evening and I think I can toss him a hamburger and a pizza. The reason is he just come back from the west and might not get used to with our foods and he will need another trip to the Vietnamese border tomorrow, so there's no room for error.

I'm not sure if there is any PCR test requirement before boarding. Giving the altitude of the west toward the pandemic, I guess "NO". However, there is no PCR test or quarantine required upon arrival of one is fully vaccinated.

Meanwhile in Toronto, Ontario, Canada this viral expert seems to be frustrated from his fellow Canadians inertia and pretend obliviousness to the coming reality if Canadians fail to heed his warnings about OMICRON.
