125 new confirmed cases, 31 imported, 94 domestic (Henan 41, Jiangsu 38, Hunan 12, Hubei 3)
39 new asymptomatic carriers, 31 imported, 8 domestic (Henan 4, Hubei 4)
I was a bit surprised at Henan's new cases but when I actually looked up Henan HC's daily report for more detail on what happened and what actually happened was they found 1 new case, and 40 previous asymptomatic carriers have become symptomatic and now reclassified as confirmed cases. They are all in quarantine already before developing symptoms.
All 38 cases in Jiangsu are in Yangzhou, zero new cases or asymptomatic carriers in Nanjing or elsewhere in Jiangsu province. Looks like this wave is now well on its way to dying down except Yangzhou which may take a while longer. Yangzhou is very firmly locked down at the moment.

Its an interesting read. Ironically, Ralph Baric, the real father of the 'gain of function' research was one of the scientists who co-wrote the letter to call for more investigations into the WIV. What a sly c**t. But totally not unexpected, from an individual like him.

I wonder what evidence the Western MSM has come out for 'lab-accidents' in the WIV other than quotes from the 'Intelligence Sources'. I feel that if there really were major accidents in the WIV, it would be have been quite easy to pick up. This is considering the international certification that WIV needs to go through to obtain BSL 4 rating. Plus there were foreign scientists doing collaborative research work there. How come none of them had anything bad or suspicious to report about when they return to their own countries?
Nevertheless, Propublica.org is not a scientific journal, its still just an investigative journalism magazine. So this should not be taken as scientific evidence. But Propublica.org have received Pulitzer Prizes before, so it should be much more serious than any of those nutjob rightwing media who are pushing the Wuhan lab-leak theory.
