Notice that the priests are not wearing any masks or social distancing? Yeah. And they are trying to worship Corona as a God.

News from the UK - looks like the vaccine rollout is slowing down. The UK media is conflating first and second dose figures which
gives a wrong impression. As more and more of the population become eligible for vaccination the harder it becomes to vaccinate. I predict there will still be around 20-40% of the UK population who will not have received both doses by the end of the year.

Given the estimated 79% effectiveness of the AstraZeneca vaccine that could mean 50%+ of the population still effectively unvaccinated going into winter.

That effectiveness number doesn't take into account variants. The government has claimed the vaccination is effective against the Indian variant, but released zero data.

It's too early to say but I'd say the vaccination programme has been a failure.

Do even Indians notice how Western media reports on Indian surge like they are helpless backwards savages, despite Western media reserving nuanced and semi-apologist news coverage when it comes to their own (worse) COVID surges in the US?
If Indians don't notice that, they are hopeless West worshippers.

They do, it’s just that they accept that they are of a lower ranking than Western powers. Just look at how they’ve been sucking up to Israel on Twitter. God forbid if an inferior people like the Chinese do the same thing though.

That is a smart move on their part. I think a lot of countries are being blindsided not taking this into account.

I think the reason of many western countries hording vaccines are because they anticipated the need for a boost shot around half year. Because 1. SARS-CoV2 vaccines are all new, nobody knows how long their efficacy last, 2. SARS-CoV2 is in the similar family to common cold whose vaccines efficacy last about half year, so it is very reasonable to anticipate a boost is needed in half year.
