A little bit dangerous brother. Since Duterte's relationship with China has been worsen recently. Can you be sure that there will be next batch? Further, my doctor advised me that I should take the second shot before the first shot expires inside me.

Pretty sure there can be. The real issue is that China is now going full speed on her own domestic vaccinations which means more vaccines are going to be allocated to the home front. You don't want to be in the Indian situation where you have exported away too much of your own vaccines and not enough for the home population. The Indian variant is giving quite a scare and China's top epidemiologist wants the population vaccinated, as you need to be steps ahead and proactive for any eventuality.

China is in a much better position now. Vaccines production has increased dramatically. More vaccines are coming online. Another inactivated vaccines just got approval.

I expect these doctors and scientists to lobby for a full investigation and audit of Fort Detrick as well as other US owned bio warfare facilities around the world especially the ones in the former soviet union.

Otherwise, this is simply another pathetic attempt by the anglos to revive the covid bioweapon conspiracy theory.

China isnt likely to face the same situation as India, since its already vaccinated close to 400 million shots. Although not anywhere close to herd immunity, it does reduce the speed of the virus spread. It also take time (~ 2 months) before any covid outbreak spreads like wildfire. I'm thinking that if China can hold COVID at its current levels until mid-July, this will allow China to have vaccinated close to .9-1 billion doses. Even if China loosens control by then, in theory COVID would only become endemic by September. By then however, China is likely to have vaccinated another 500-600 million doses, so we would be in effective herd immunity. Best way to think about it is we are currently close to where the US and Israel were in mid-march.

We dont need herd immunity to beat COVID at this point. As long as we keep up vaccinations, we can bend Ro to under 1 by relatively light measures without a complete lockdown.

This is a technical question; it can stay for weeks but how many weeks? my doctor's advise is between 2 to 3 weeks while ansy1968's advise is 4 weeks. Can we conclude that it is OK between 2 to 4 weeks?
@SteelBird bro waiting for the arrival of the next batch (scarcity of supply), I was told by the medical workers that they're prioritizing to administered as many people as possible (at least one shot). Especially here in the metropolis, so that people can go back to normal since Metro Manila contribute nearly 40% of our economy.

I recall reading new findings saying 3 weeks (or more?) is much better than 2 weeks but I can't recall clearly which of the vaccines, Sinovac or Sinopharm. It may be a good idea to call back your doctor for the latest advice.

Do we really need a 4th inactivated vaccine at this point? I'm surprised other countries would want to participate in additional trials for chinese inactivated vaccines when there is already sinopharm or sinovac. I think all efforts should focus on stermina and walvax mrna vaccines now.

Although they are all inactivated vaccines, they're likely based on a different variant of the virus due to the different time and place of manufacture.
