Indeed. I actually suspect the deliveries of the key subsystems, particularly engine, will be controlled and limited. That is, if they're allowed to continue to be delivered at all. To hedge and reduce the risk, CJ1000A needs to be ready asap. If and when CJ1000A is available, the supply of LEAP-1C will be more likely to continue.
If I'm not wrong. The vast majority of "foreign" parts are actually joint ventures. I wonder what % of parts China will have the ability to physically continue producing (ignoring ip rights) if sanctions do occur.

That's the deliberate strategy. People looking at the long-list of the foreign suppliers can feel quite discouraged and disappointed. For such a high-value and high-risk project, Chinese are understandably very conservative. They would go for more experienced international suppliers even if the domestic capabilities exist to some extent. COMAC will benefit in the longer term working with them. The requirements for the setup of respective joint ventures with Chinese supplier are strong indication that they will develop indigenous capabilities eventually. This doesn't necessarily mean obtaining some specific IPs through these JVs, but the experience of understanding the requirements and going through the integration process themselves are very valuable. I think Chinese vendors can handle the technical parts mostly if they know what is needed and required. In fact, I'm pretty sure many of the domestic capability development are currently on-going, CJ1000A is just the most visible and high-profile one.

So short answer, the Chinese are now readier than it appears to develop many of the subsystems if needed, although undoubtedly they still have some gaps and considerable learning curves to climb.

I'm surprised. These six aircraft are test aircraft and they have made changes from aircraft to aircraft. Hard to understand why they would deliver these pre-production aircraft to customers.
They must then be able to reconfigure these aircraft to the final certified configuration.
