wow, i didnt know that, i guess they improve it every year. BTW, does anyone know anything about the problem with the new SATs, i heard stories that the score is unsually low or something like. Are there new changes?

i think it's the top big colleges that does it, the small ones usually cant afford it :eek:

samething as the old SAT expect for they got rid of the
WET:DRY

BIG:SMALL
WATER:SAND
ONE:TWO
FAT:SAD

thing and jacked it up with more reading passages and a writing part...
it's 10 sections now with 1 section not graded (which they dont tell you, used for statistical purpose)

it looks the same to me... my score on the old and new SAT were about the same.... reading went down a couple of points though

What do you expect when you need to write an essay in 25 minutes? The admin knows better but that stress.............

The ACT is much better. (And the science test is more like math.)

the essay was like the best part in my SAT, got 11/12 for that, hehe. i've never taken the old SAT so i can't compare it to the new one, but i don't think the mark will change significantly.

i really need to start applying. Swimmer, what are you applying in the canadian universities? science? engineering? business? arts? etc. maybe we will meet someday, since im applying to UofT, Waterloo, and UBC as well.

actually it made a huge difference for me, my score for verbal went up like 40 points and math went up by 60. the essay and grammar section really screwed me over tho, i only got a 700 on that section. :mad:

What's the deadline for Columbia College anyway?

Well, let me comfort you then. I got less than 2000 points total on my SAT scores... 700 verbal, 640 Math, 620 Writing.

lol, I got a 1600...on the NEW SAT.

I highly advise that you guys take the ACT. The ACT is 10 times easier, and the conversion to SAT suggested that I got a 2180 :roll:

Oh my, I wish I knew more military tech, but I guess I'm stuck at this desk job :D
