hey, at least US military calls are more interesting than cable and long-distance telephone ads. Every time they call i just say that i'm leaving canada soon, and then they just hang up. haha.

Dude, don't you have this form that you sign to stop your school from giving your information to the *cough*government *cough*military? Or is that just California? Or San Francisco? Don't you know that your school is suppose to hand that data to the military? It's a big fuss here.

So far I've gotten only military-related letters, 1 for a Marines Academy or something and another (Monday) from some lieutenant talking about some intelligence and forums......... I'd rather take the Mossad. :D

Anyway, anyone have a site/tips for personal statements?

well in vancouver, Telus, the only telephone provider (although i think Shaw is also starting to provide telephone connections), releases all your info to those companies so they can annoy you and there's nothing you can do because it's a monopoly.

Ah, the joys of an all volunteer military. Advertisements on TV showing how cool it is to be part of the glorious US military! (While conveniently avoiding the uncomfortable fact that the entire point is to learn how to kill people. Doesn't make good PR. See new places, meet new people... and kill them.)

No offense to those who have served in the military, of course. I'm just sick and tired of those ads that portray anything military-related as "defending freedom" and what not. Not sure of what it's like in places besides the USA, though.

Some countries require you to serve in the military for 2 years...
Correct me if I'm wrong, bu doesn't South Korea and France do this?
