Prof Heping Xie published his research in 2022 in Nature, and the tech was commercialized in 2023. Really fast commercialization

Another major one here is Shenzhen port now partnership up with MingYang. One of the goals here is green methanol refueling station. This is becoming a major trend. Different port groups in China trying to seize on energy transition by all providing refueling services of green methanol

China Coal has a 100k ton/year green methanol project using 21 kt of green hydrogen and CO2 recovered from existing emissions
Huadian has a 180k ton/year of green methanol/ammonia project. Of which 87.2k ton of ammonia and 92k ton of methanol
The biggest one here is 196 electrolysis + 1.3GW of wind power + 26MW/52/MWh ESS -> 199173Nm3/h of hydrogent production for 50k ton of ammonia & 400k ton of gree methanol
