Mingyang H2 gas turbine combustion chamber passed 10 hour burning test. Combustion chamber is the only component in a gas turbine that needs major changes for burning H2
What is the point of using a gas turbine for H2? Doesn’t make sense for power generation if you’re using electricity to get the hydrogen in the first place.

In some cases it is easier and/or cheaper to transport liquified H2 than electricity. Think H2 produced by wind turbine farms far from shores. Thus you can regenerate the electricity by burning the H2 at the destination.

this is Mingyang’s “Jupiter One” 30MW pure hydrogen gas turbine rolls off the production line last year.

This gas turbine is the world's first 30MW pure hydrogen gas turbine. It is equipped with the "Jupiter 1" pure hydrogen combustion chamber independently developed by Mingyang Hydrogen, which can achieve 100% pure hydrogen combustion and true "zero carbon emissions".

it took Mingyang 10 years and collaboration with 10 universities to developed this Engine.. Mingyang has extensive cooperation with industrial chain enterprises, using additive manufacturing (3D printing), electric pulse, wire cutting, plasma spraying, hot isostatic pressing and other technologies ..

combustion chamber of this ENGINE is completely different from traditional gas turbine..

Gas turbine & turbofan engine share many commonalities, so can be used to develop high bypass ENGINES for H2 aircraft.

This test referred to the international hydrogen energy test standards and compiled a pure hydrogen combustion chamber performance test outline. It completed tests under various working conditions such as ignition, full speed no-load, and 100% load, and burned a total of 5,000 cubic meters of pure hydrogen.
