I don't play shooters or "deep" RPGs like Black Myth Wukong so I can't support these guys with my money. But I can support them with free mentions.

I play casual games and used to play scifi RTS like Starcraft and Sins of a Solar Empire (the sequel to which is out, finally!).

Had great hopes for Deep Dark Forest (深暗森林)but it seems to be cancelled =/

If you're into factory games like factorio/satisfactory, Dyson sphere program is also a brilliant Chinese game where the end goal is constructing a Dyson sphere around a star and building interstellar logistics.

Honestly the indie scene in China is brilliant and where I think it is at its best.

I already played Dyson Sphere Program, it is amazing.

I suspect it would be a big money maker once moved from early access to full release.

Digital Foundry has released their third video on Black Myth: Wukong, this one mostly addresses optimised settings for PC, but with some broader tech discussion also:

They conclude that the game is more GPU limited than CPU limited, with a solid 60fps possible on PS5-equivalent Ryzen 5 3600 CPU. As such the prospects seem good both for refining the current presentation on PS5, and taking full advantage of the additional horsepower of upcoming PS5 Pro. Assuming the developers are willing to put in the work to realise that potential, that is.

I remember playing DSP on early access in 2021 and the first thing I noticed was how low the min spec requirements were (storage and graphics) and never had a crash even with the thousands items displayed.
Definitely one of the best if not the best optimized game from a Chinese dev.

If you ever got to the interstellar stage, the optimization just felt insane, since you have thousands of ships flying back and forth between solar systems and delivering goods on top of a sprawling drone based logistics on planet, no crashes nor hiccups. Somehow it ran better than factorio, a 2.5D game considering the scale involved.

Chinese game developers need to work together to develop an Unreal Engine 5 alternative. With the success achieved by Black Myth: Wukong, the US government may be tempted to sanction Chinese game companies
Unreal Engine is open source, just fork it and build on top of it.... maybe offer Epic Games a huge $$$$$ single lump sum, if US CONgress blocks, then just steal it for free... that's what Marco Rubio proposed for Amerikkka to do with Huawei patents, and that Pompous We Lied, We Cheated, We Stole guy as well....
